It really is never too late to celebrate independence…
My husband and I took a walk in the park, yesterday. I thought I share a few impressions with you:
…
The birds were singing
The bees were humming
The wind was whispering
And the flowers were performing a firework of colours and shapes for us.

Love the sights and sounds of nature! Thanks for sharing your walk Steffi! 🙂
Dear Cathie,
Thank you for coming by so that we can enjoy those impressions together! ❤
Much love,
Steffi
Wonderful sights and sounds! Love those long borders.
Hello dear Ashley,
Thank you for stopping by. I am happy that I could share those impressions with you!
In fact, this part of the park with its long borders always reminds me a bit of those beautiful English gardens. 🙂
Much love,
Steffi
I think that is what I miss of England, the wonderful gardens! I’m off early in the morning; driving to Cumbria to do a short wood engraving course. If the rain stops I might get some photos to post on my return, but the rain stopping is a big ask…..!!!
Oooh, I would love to see some pictures of your view on Cumbria and, of course, of your work, Ashley! Are you attending the course as a participant or as a teacher?
Yes, the weather is an important factor in terms of photography. We had lots of it in the past two days, as well – mainly manifesting in rain and storm. It seems, we are going through a big cleansing, this summer. 😉
Enjoy your trip to Cumbria!
Much love,
Steffi
A participant. If good enough I will post some pictures of my work when I return home. The ferry is just leaving Larne for Scotland so I’m off for a stroll around the deck. No rain this morning, good.
Ashley,
No rain is good, indeed, as you are out and about. That means you stay dry and we maybe see some photos from your journey! 😉
Say “Hello” to Scotland and Cumbria from me and enjoy taking part in the wood enrgaving course! Hopefully we see some pictures from your work, soon, as well! 🙂
Much love,
Steffi
Beautiful pictures and I love that firework of colours! Enjoy it as often as you can!
Hi Ute,
Thank you for your kind comment. I am glad that I could share some of the beauty with you!
The park is only a five minute walk from where I live – so, yes, it is a great place to enjoy those fireworks regularly. 🙂
Much love,
Steffi
Yes go there while there is some sun… who knows for how long!
Haha, you say it, Ute! – Yesterday it rained nearly all day – except for the many times when the rain turned into a cloud-burst. LOL Today: storm, wind and storm. A couple of cozy days to skip through the other images I took! 😉
I hope, London is seeing some rays of sun, these days!
Much love,
Steffi
A few in between only, waking up tp clouds again today. You can never go out without umbrella, as you never know. And it is not July temperatures either. Never forget the cardigan…. 🙂 I will become Summer I am certain !
There you go, Ute, nearly typical London (or Hamburg) weather… What do they say: “There is no bad weather only inadequate clothes”?
Yes, it will become Summer, again! If not this year, then the next. 😉
It is a time of shifts and transition for many. Maybe the weather is mirroring this. It feels like Spring or Autumn, most of the time. Those are the transitional seasons, too!
I remember it like it was yesterday!
Why, yes, Kim… now that you are mentioning it: me, too! 😀
