Blessed Lughnasadh 2016 – Time of Healing and of New Ways
Like every year on August 1st and 2nd the time has come, again, to celebrate Lughnasadh. Sometimes, this moon feast is also called Lammas and it describes the Celtic beginning of Autumn. And what a moon we have, today – that is to say, a pretty intense new moon which suits a harvesting celebration really well.
Balance and Trust
With the energy of a day like this new ideas can come to fruition, novel projects can be born and as well lots of new energy can stream in which, if we dare to trust and to ride the wave, carries us into the reality of the new earth.
Are you daring it? I do.
What seeds have you sown in the last weeks, months and years? Which ideas have you harboured even though they have long lain dormant in the dark and did not germinate? Which desires have you fostered and dreamt of over and over, again?
Maybe we will be surprised by which doors are now open, where before they were always firmly locked. Perhaps we will be astonished at how many new doors suddenly become visible. Possibly we will take a look around and notice all at once that where we are, now, no walls even remain.
Over and over again two keywords come to my mind for these times:
Balance and trust.
Both are good friends that carry and accompany us into these very new times.
Balance Allows Healing
Robert Betz once explained that actually, we are always in balance because if we were not we would not be here, at all.
What he means by this, I believe, is that existence, here, within polarity conditions a balance of the seeming opposites. A balance between light and dark, laughing and crying, matter and spirit, calm and movement…
When we feel ill or unwell we are therefore still in balance. It is just that we do not feel well with it. To change this, we may change the way we balance our existence. Perhaps we can let go of some tension, here, and instead become a little more active, there. Perhaps we need a little more light for this and for that a little more soothing shade. Perhaps we hold on too much to one thing and do not believe enough in another.
Thus, it is basically all about encompassing a shift which allows us to keep the balance and feel well with it.
The signs are good that we now attain the necessary insights for this as well as the support so that things can change if we choose to walk this path.
Trust Allows the New
Some of these changes lead us on such new terrain that no-one has ever seen it, before. Wow. Exciting and scary at the same time. Am I allowed to do that? Am I doing it right, this way? Have I gone mental, now? – Such questions can definitely drive one mental.
The key is trust. At the same time I am not talking about blind trust. I mean trust in the inner voice, the divine guidance which each of us carries within our heart.
When one is walking new paths one cannot know what awaits. Why, if one knew, it would be nothing new. When creating a new reality there are no reference points as everything one could refer to would be something one already knows, hence nothing new.
This can feel very frightening. For some, maybe memories of awful (and old) failures come back to life. For others, maybe old elementary fears get triggered within the cell consciousness. Still others maybe notice a surge of frightening emotions that now are ready to be released from the system.
This requires trust.
Becoming calm and taking a close look instead of pushing away in blind activism may be helpful, here. Letting the fears be without giving them power. How does that work? One notices the fear, lets it be there and chooses to trust the inner voice, anyway, and to act accordingly. This is how new experiences, new reference points and a new balance is created.
True, this demands courage.
Weather or not it is worth it is something everybody may choose each for themselves. For me, personally, it is worth it. And the time is ripe for something new.
How are you doing in these moving times? Are you celebrating the turning of the seasons?
Are you ready to shine a bright light of awareness on the path of beingness, today?
