At the beginning of the month some of the Christian communities celebrated the Erntedank festival here in Germany.  The weather was very nice on that Sunday, and the now golden October announced itself radiantly.

Kim and I took the opportunity to refuel with some sun and recreation during a walk in the nearby landscape conservation area Altonaer Volkspark.

Although it was only early October, one could notice the first Autumn colours in the foliage of trees and bushes:

Yet, not only when looking upwards did we see Autumn tints, but they were also clearly visible on ground level:

The benches along the paths in the woods were illuminated by the sun and invited to linger, while the wood trails shimmered in a relaxing green and made the visitors curious what surprises they might have in store for them, that day:

We chose, once more, the path to the Edwardian School Garden where the rudbeckias and heleniums blossomed in their final stages, while the asters were just unfolding their full splendour:

A few other plants also displayed their last Summer blooms, although it was actually already October and to honour the day Misses Alchemilla was wearing her most beautiful pearl jewellery on her lady’s mantle:

Finally, a few moving pictures. Possibly you have already seen the video on Kim’s and my joint blog Heart’s Journey. Maybe you still feel like going on this walk with us, once more:

Do you sometimes give Thanks for the gifts that life presents to us, too? When actually was the last time you took a walk?

Are you ready to shine a bright light on the path of beingness, today?

Much Love,
Steffi
