Dancing Around The Wheel Of The Year: March

In March nature begins to blossom, again, and the air is filled with the fragrance of the small white flowers of the plum-tree in front of our balcony.

With Saint Gertrude’s Day, which is also Saint Patrick’s Day, we finally put aside the Winter’s work and turn completely towards Spring.

At the end of the month the light takes the entire reign. Spring Equinox brings the day and night equality. After that, the days are longer than the nights, again.

The sun already has more power and it is good to put your face into its afternoon rays when it shines.

In the morning I enjoy sitting by the kitchen window and being warmed by the morning sun that shines in through the east window. In the afternoon, on the balcony, I turn my face towards the softening sun, together with the birds as they sing at the late sun rays before nightfall. With the days now getting longer, this time moves more and more from the afternoon into the early evening.

It is also a time for detox. Old dross may now leave our system. The Spring tiredness helps us to let go and to refuel new light power for this year. Many people support this with a fasting treatment. It doesn’t matter whether this is for religious, spiritual or health reasons.

Personally, I do not fast. But I notice how my diet becomes lighter, again. The first Spring herbs, like bear’s garlic, help me to detoxify and their radiant green brings Spring freshness.

By the wayside, there is more to discover each day, now. More blossoms, more leaves, more colours and also an increasing variety of bird songs can be heard.

It is a slow awakening from a deep hibernation into a brand-new world.

How do you perceive Spring? Are you enjoying the awakening of nature as much as I do?

Are you ready to shine a bright light of awareness on the path of beingness, today?

Much Love,
