#KBFWalk – Encounters at the Volkspark

Yesterday, when I took a short trip to the nearby park, I had some interesting encounters.
♥
On the way to the park I saw many crocuses in bloom. They had already started to bloom last month during an unusual warm spell. When it got colder again, their cups remained closed at first. Now they seem to have got used to the lower temperatures and are going into the second round.
♥
I also discovered the first tender yarrow shoots on the lawn in front of the house. They taste good in salads, but at present I don’t collect my herbs directly in front of the house.
♥
Despite the colourful spring messengers, it is still quite cold at the moment. We became aware of how deep the cold still sits in the ground when we passed this frozen puddle on a shady path.
♥
When we arrived at the park, we were greeted by a colourful dragon* sitting in a tree and enjoying the view. I don’t think most people saw him at all. However, we had a little conversation and he drew my attention to a few things, because he had a good view from his perch.
*In German we use the same word for “dragon” and “kite”.

First of all, there was this beautiful, elegant tree in the meadow, already producing buds. Will flowers or leaves come out first?
♥
A few other trees put on an art performance on the green. I think it was a kind of shadow theatre. What do you think?
♥
The performance was bathed in a very mystical light from the Sahara dust – at least I think it is still the Sahara dust. – Even the stage floor literally glittered in this special light.
♥
The sun really did its best to set everything off beautifully through this particular filter.
♥
On leaving the park, I even received Angels’ greetings.
♥
I also passed a small family of shoots. I assume they are daffodils or tulips. A taller shoot was just telling a row of smaller shoots something about Spring.
♥
At the exit of the park I also met an earth gnome. He was very friendly and let me take his picture. He also told me about his life in the park and how much he enjoys the light of Spring at the moment.
Can you make out his face?
♥
That was an eventful walk with a lot to discover.
♥
Even if we have to keep our distance at the moment, we can still encounter each other – preferably with understanding and kindness and an open heart. In fact, I think that is especially important in times like these.
Who or what have you encountered, lately?
♥
Are you ready to shine a bright light of beingness on the path of beingness, today?
♥
Much Love,
Steffi

Sehr Schön !! Danke, Steffi !
Danke fürs Mitkommen, Kim!
What a lovely walk Steffi, it is wonderful to encounter so many wonderful things when we keep our eyes open. Looks like it is still quite cold in North Germany but lovely with sunshine. Keep warm and safe. Many hugs ♥
Thank you for joining me, Ute! It was great to get out and have the chance to see all those things, despite the cold that you aptly noticed. We even had a little snow this morning (already melted).
It only is a short walk to the park and it was possible to keep due distance to the other visitors. Safety first!
Keep warm and safe, as well – many hugs to you, too!
