Some time ago, when I was practising the master exercise in the course of my Qi Gong practice, as I learned it in the video course, taught by Andreas W. Friedrich und Eva Rehle, I once again became aware of how important it is to have clarity in my own inner space.

With me it is like this:

On the outside, my space often looks chaotic. Actually, there is always creative chaos.

Nevertheless, everything has its place where it belongs. That is also very important. But in the creative process, there are often things lying around – for inspiration, for designing, for viewing or simply for waiting, for example, until something is dry.

In my inner space, on the other hand, it is rarely chaotic.

I noticed this in improvisation theatre with Turid Müller, where we worked according to the Way of the Fool, inspired by Franki Anderson. Whenever it was a question of looking at one’s own aspects on stage, mine stood in a clear and well-behaved line. While other participants brought real dramas on stage with their aspects, it was always peaceful with me.

This may seem impractical for theatre, as a stage play thrives on drama (albeit inspiration for it can certainly be drawn from other areas of personal life and experiences). But for my life, I experience this peaceful order and clarity as extremely helpful – after all, there is usually enough chaos and drama around me.

So when I was practising the master exercise, some time ago, I noticed how good it felt to create space in the course of this practice.

There are many different aspects to such an exercise, but when I opened my arms to notice what was behind me, I became aware of it.

It is not the holding on to what I have experienced that shapes my space or makes me the person I am. The fact that I have experienced it, on the other hand, does contribute to this shaping. And now that the experienced is behind me, my experiences – of whatever kind – can support me.

That feels good.

Moreover, this allows me to have my present space open, free and clear. In fact, it is only then that I have space to have and process further experiences.

Only now is there space for what lies ahead.

Likewise, there is now space for what is beneficial to me – from the Celestial, from Mother Earth and from that which stands by my side. That which was also has its place – only not in the present space, but perhaps on a shelf on the back wall, where I can see it and it can support me.

We often let go of what we do not want: old, used-up life energy, worries, hardships, unpleasant experiences. This is mostly easy for us.

But it is also important to let go of what one loves so that it can find its very own place. This does not necessarily mean that one loses it. It just means that one changes one’s attitude towards what one loves a little and allows it its own place, perhaps even its own room – its own space.

Do you sometimes hold on to things that clog up your inner space, too, or do you find it easy to let go?

Are you ready to shine a bright light of awareness on the path of beingness, today?

Much Love,
Steffi
