Often, when feeling lost or when darkness seems to be closing in, it can help to practise gratitude. I am aware, that, depending on individual situation and personal background this is not indicated for everyone at all times. But for me, it has proven very helpful to remember that even on a grimly dark day there still are things to be grateful for and that I am still allowed and able to feel gratitude – or that I am allowed to not feel gratitude and seeing that those things are still there for me, waiting patiently with me for brighter times.

On the social networks I am keeping up the practise of writing #3GoodThings every evening – well, usually. I do not beat myself up if I miss out on it, though. Not only have I found amazing contacts because of this exercise, I also was surprised to see how inspiring it has been for some. Particularly on those days when I considered to skip on the exercise, I happened to get feedback to one of my older #3GoodThings posts that showed me how this was something that has helped others, that day, to see their three good things. That, in turn, encouraged me to write mine, despite my original considerations to skip on it.

At the time as I am writing this, which is at about 1:30 a.m. CET, I have written my #3GoodThings, already. Also, I feel kind of abundant, today. So I am going to share five good things in this post. Besides, this then also corresponds with today’s Bloganuary prompt, as you can see at the end of this post.

5 Good Things

  1. Kind exchange with people from other parts of the world.
  2. Been super creative and also productive.
  3. Enjoyed warming herbal tea that was gifted to me by a friend.
  4. Tasty homemade comfort food.
  5. Found happy synchronicities throughout my day.

Yours?

What helps you to stay balanced and open towards life? Do you practise an attitude of gratitude? Do you find it helpful for you, personally, at all?

Are you ready to shine a bright light of awareness on the path of beingness, today?

Much Love,
Steffi
