Dancing The Wheel: May Green
Soon it will be Walpurgis Night and we will dance again into May, which begins with Beltane – the onset of the Celtic summer. Wearing something green on this night is supposed to bring good luck. Traditionally, a punch is served with woodruff – this wondrous green plant with the tiny white flowers that smells and tastes so magical.
May also makes the trees green again, as was already known in Mozart’s time.
Most beautiful for me, however, is when later in May the now greened trees stand on lush green meadows in the fields, bathed in that special golden afternoon light of early Summer. This is my favourite time of Summer. It is usually already pleasantly warm, but not too hot, and the sun has power, but without burning. A time when I like to be outside and celebrate life, because everything is awake and alive now and there is a lot to discover in nature.
Soon it will be that time again. How do you perceive it? Are you ready to shine a bright light of awareness on the path of beingness, today? Much Love, Steffi
