Today is Halloween, which means All Hallow’s Eve, and with this the New Year’s Eve of the Celtic calendar has come which additionally marks the Celtic start of Winter. Those New Year’s celebrations describe one of the most important festivals of the Wheel of the Year. At the same time it is a harvest festival as the last harvest has been brought in, by now.

Introspection
The days are clearly shorter, now, and it is becoming colder, outside. The work in the woods and on the fields is done. It is time to go inside, recapitulate and say Thanks to the year for all it’s gifts.
What gifts did I receive this year? What did do me good? What could I do better and how can I allow suitable changes?

Sometimes the mists at this time of year seem so dense and the darkness closing in seems so massive, that one might deem themselves unable to see their own hand in front of their eyes. Yet, in truth both are an invitation to become still and to come home to one’s core.”

Stillness
When we become still and allow ourselves to be all with our Self we will notice how the mist is lightening up and guiding us onto a path through the darkness. It feels easy and loving to follow this path so that the exhaustion of the last months can fall away from us and we come to new strength, again. The mystery of this season reveals for us new inspiration, new perspectives and new paths. For this we do not have to do anything but to allow that things gently fall into place for us.

A Light in the Darkness
We achieve this by becoming still and harkening to our own inner voice. It will guide us and let us know what there really is to do and what we may safely let be. This way we tune into consonance with universal timing and experience synchronicity as well as the consequent ease. Things ease up, lighten up and we become a light in the darkness.
